WHAT IS ONE ROOM ONE SHOTS?
One Room One Shots is a compendium of short adventures themed around a single room or structure and is fully compatible with 5th edition. There are no complex castles or labyrinthine dungeons to get lost in, just a single location that means the adventure can be played in one session with little to no preparation required - perfect for when you want to give friends a taster of the game, or for when your group keep meaning to play and finally find an elusive evening off together, but no-one has had time to plan more!
The adventures themselves combine combat encounters, puzzles and role-playing that all fit within the theme of the room. Each adventure contains unique lore that can be adapted to fit into any campaign you are currently running or be expanded to create a short campaign based around the one shot.
How you utilise the adventures in the book is really up to you and - as game masters ourselves - we have aimed to make them as adaptable as possible while being a pick up and play resource.

TOMB OF GRIEF
An adventure for 1st level characters
The land has become cursed and all signs point to the tomb of an evil king as the source of this dark taint. Find a way to break the curse, and learn the truth behind the King’s violent acts inside his desecrated tomb!
The adventure contains simple puzzles that involve observation and role playing with combat encounters. Tomb of Grief is a classic dungeon, filled with cursed undead and a tragic backstory for the spirits who haunt the tomb.

An adventure for 5th level characters
Diving down to an ancient temple dedicated to primordial gods to recover a powerful relic said to be able to control the ocean itself sounds easy enough, right? However, beings from the deepest parts of the ocean have taken up residence in the temple and will defend it against any trespassers...
Several combat encounters and environmental puzzles lead to a climactic boss fight against the Hydra of the Deep within a temple that gradually floods as characters progress through the adventure. A curse afflicting the temple can permanently affect anyone who enters the tomb, adding to the long term stakes of this one shot.

Initially intended as a prologue to each of the adventures contained within One Room One Shots and giving players a taster of what's to come, One Hour Encounters have evolved into their own stand alone product. Each encounter features unique story elements and creatures written specifically for an easy to run session intended to be played within - you guessed it - one hour!
Designed to appear like torn pages from a journal, the encounter is presented in an easy to follow, step by step structure with maps, stat blocks and lore that you would usually expect from a full adventure guide. As a physical print, these folded leaflets are easy to carry around or keep with your notebook for when you need to use it, and the maps can be easily removed from the GM notes for your players to peruse.

Having spent years talking about all of the projects we could work on together, we finally decided to just go for it with our upcoming adventure book One Room One Shots.

One of the driving principles behind our work is to champion human creative efforts. Every word you read in our products has been scribbled in notebooks, typed and then re-typed through coffee infused writing sessions. In illustrating our worlds, we have reached out to a variety of talented artists whose work we loved and wanted to partner with.
Our aim was always to have the best artwork that suited the genre we were working in, which means we get to work with many artists and support them in the work they do bringing the creatures, objects and environments to life with such passion and detail.
